Hi, I'm Cady!

I am a high school freshman and the dyer behind the colors at Fairway Fibers. I began dyeing yarn during my summer break in 2019. My GG (grandma) wanted to unravel and dye a sweater that she knitted years before. We tried all different methods before we found the perfect red color for her. I really enjoyed it, and I asked my mom if I could dye more things. I tie-dyed shirts, and then started dyeing yarn. I've met some really incredible dyers who have helped me with my technique and encouraged me to keep dyeing, I'm so thankful for this amazing fiber community!

I play golf, and decided that I wanted to start a business that would combine my love of the sport with my love of color. I love experimenting with colors and finding inspiration from the course, and all of my adventures. I also wanted to help raise money for The First Tee, the organization that helps me (and thousands of other kids) learn life skills through the game of golf. A portion of every sale goes to them, because I want anyone who wants to play golf to have access to the game.
